I'm only past the banter, but if the Easter egg isn't Darryl singing Phil Collins, I'm going to be awfully disappointed.

Oakenshield port doesn't gain its gold tokens if placed during setup (or as HoD). They all "Start the game in play". The best analogies are Eddard Stark (core), Iron Cliffs, River row...

Hear Me Roar and Winter is Coming already exist in the LCG.
~episode 19 had same start

I have found that aGoT rules follow more computer logic than well English at times. For example if Long Voyage wasn't referencing the draw framework then there could be argument that you could just use it to go to drawcap since the agenda itself is giving you a draw and if it is looking for a card being drawn then it could as well trigger from the additional draw since it is draw as well.
Are we allowed to start articles with "Welcome back Darryl"?

@Istaril- Danke. It gets difficult to keep the rulings straight over the years as FFG has a tendency to overrule themselves. Lol, I know that Eddard used to claim power even when placed during Setup, but that must have been years ago.

@Playgroundpsychotic- Sure, Winter is Coming exists as an event for Stark (and a pretty good one!) but I would have liked to have a house words event for Lannister.

@Ire- Sure, that makes sense that it would drawcap you immediately if it worked that way. Unfortunately, there isn't really anything in the card text that points specifically to the framework draw. That isn't to say that I don't agree with how it winds up working- just that it feels like a templating issue to me that leaves "intent" as the standing ruling rather than clear and concise wording.

@JCWamma, please do!

Hear Me Roar (Core). Its not an event but I suspect having an event of the same name would cause problems.
Nah, the CCG days handled it just fine. In fact, I believe those were two of the ones that did handle it fine.

In fact, we even have this issue in the current day LCG cardpool with the Alliance agenda and the Alliance plot, and it doesn't seem to have caused any problems so far.
If you discard Darkstar with Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken, he won't go into play (even if he's your only card in hand,) because "discard from hand" and "discard your hand" are two separate things. It's the same reason why you can discard you hand to prevent Narrow Escape even if you have Laughing Storm standing.
Blargh. So it's even worse!

I agree that it would be nice to have a 'Hear Me Roar' event but I've wanted 'The Bear and the Maiden Fair' to be a thing since I started playing.
