Beyond the Wall Podcast Istaril Patrick H. Darknoj Mystery Co-host Game of Thrones Dance of Dragons
In an effort to make our new co-host's first episode sound worse, Istaril uses the wrong mic for the intro/closing. Oops. The main segments are up to our usual standard though. Anwyay, it's our new helping hand's first episode! Give him a round of applause - especially for that slick table of contents. We round up the week's news and, to everyone's surprise, Istaril closes with a Mountain joke. Darknoj re-joins us for the main segment, the Dance-off (well, re-cap of the Dance of Dragons NYC tournament), alongside the winner Patrick H. We talk prep, strategy, highlights - but also the kind of stories that make travelling for these events worthwhile. With Martell's star rising in Regional results this weekend, we get to spoil two True Steel (CP6) Martell cards, one of which we're extremely excited about! We sound off with the usual closing comments.

Or was I?
Spoilers up!
Oooooh. Another poison token effect that is identical to the Tear of Lys!
Tyene is so lovely!

However her text doesn't specify "controlled by the losing opponent" (like Tears of Lys)...is it possible that in Melee she can kill a character of ANY opponent?
Yup, looks like it!
Tyene is the loyal card Martell needed had she been a 5 coster. I'm starting to hate Arianne now, as she is forcing the devs to increase her powerful in house mates cost out of her range.
A repeatable Tyrs of Lys is good, but like QoT and other characters that depend on a specific kind of challange to trigger are easily controlled by icon and challange manipulation. At least, being a Sand Snake, Nymeria can give her the INT icon back if she loses it.
If she works against any player in melee, then she will be a beast on that format.
or quentyn
Who'd have thought Maester Cressen was so good at breaking people out of jail?
I believe that Tyene will develop an opium addiction.
Don't take this the wrong way, because I really love the content of this show, but why is the audio quality so bad? It's really distracting and deters me from listening. I put on a podcast of my own, and I know how relatively easy it is to produce great sounding audio.
There's only so much Opium to go around. It's enough to give me Nightmares!
As I stated in the description above and the beginning of the introduction, I used the wrong microphone and the audio for me in the intro/outro is pretty awful. It's something I caught after the recording, not realizing I'd switched recording devices. I attempted to use a few different tricks to clean up the audio, but there's only so much I could do from that recording.
If you mean the audio typically (or anything in the cast except my mic in the intro/outro), then I don't have much of an answer! We'd love any tips you think we could apply. We're a little bit constrained by the bitrate we've been asked to stick to from the hosting (64kbps) - although I doubt that's the limiting factor here, and by the microphones of our (wide variety of) guests.
This appeals to me as both an "Ean" and a Greyjoy player.
How exactly did you get Lady and Ice onto a Direwolf Pup?
Alex played Fortified Positions- so the pup is now blank.
Ah!
