Beyond the Wall Podcast Istaril Darknoj Nate French steinerp Episode 100 Giveaway Wolves of the North
Episode 100! Celebrating in style, as we have a real treat for ourselves (and, I guess, for our listeners. But by accident, I assure you). We start off with a recap of the news, and then bring you a new segment: The Black Iron Link. In it, Paul S. (steinerp), of Iron Link fame, and Istaril go through the numbers to tell us what The Road to Winterfell did to the metagame. Next, a Tip of the Week. Then, with Wolves of the North on the horizon, who better to tell us about the box (and some cards in it) than Nate French himself! In keeping with our excitement over the deluxe box, we offer a special 100th episode themed giveaway to our listeners. We close off with announcements about some big upcoming tournaments.

My favourite Beyond the Wall moment was at around September 2015 when the results of the 1.0 Australian Nationals were mentioned on the cast. Hynesy mentioned that I had come 2nd at the Nationals and my Martell AAA deck was up on agotcards (God, I miss that place), and then Darknoj gave the deck some praise saying it basically fixed a lot of the problems he had with it in testing (namely draw) by stuffing every draw card Martell had into the deck. It was the first time my name had been mentioned on an AGOT podcast, let alone having my deck featured, so it was a fondly remembered moment for me.
My favorite Beyond the Wall moment was a couple weeks ago when everyone debated the merits of Valar Morghulis in 2.0. As a new player as of 2.0, the different takes on Valar returning to the game and whether it was necessary or not was very interesting. It also helped me learn about the way I play the game and how that may change when the card inevitably arrives.
(Gold coins please!)
One of my favourite OCTGN tourney games was against Jon.
My favorite episode would have been Season 2, Episode 21 as it was the very first episode I tuned in to! I always wanted to pick up AGoT, but was afraid of the huge card pool 1.0 had. When I heard 2.0 was coming out, stumbled upon your cast and read up the Lannister article and really wanted to pick up the game. Thanks guys!
Loved the episode with the history of the cards on the restricted list you had during last season. It was awesome to get some more knowledge about the amazing decks from the time before i started playing. Would love the gold coins.
Well I was going to to say my favourite moment was the discussion with Seth about the Worlds melee final table. But now it's definitely Jon doing the little song near the end of this episode. Bronze coins!
my favourite moment was the return of valar morghulis. also the tournament reports are awesome too (especially the post stahleck episode)
gold coins please.
also darknoj for your next beyond the white book can you do a knights deck of some sort?
Every episode of BtW is tied for my favorite.
One of my most favorites was when ya'll built a 2nd Ed Targ deck without Dany, which blew my mind.
Bronze.
My favorite moment was when you guys said that I was obsessed with the Night's Watch
.
The second favorite moment was in this very interview where Nate just casually spoiled both Nymeria and Training Grounds with such little flair that you weren't even sure if you were listening closely enough haha. Or maybe that was just me.
And I would love some gold coins
Great episode, it was very nice to hear some more expanding thoughts and talk on the upcoming big box.
Favorite part or episode? That one time Alex hounded listeners to enter data into the Annals...
*Bronze
In hindsight he would have been deep in preliminary design for the unannounced 2.0 and so it was very interesting to go back and listen to with the benefit of hindsight.
Favorite moment was the interview with Nate, and the shock you guys had when he say about the back of Valar.
Gold coins are pretty.
My favorite moment was when you had John Bruno on board to discuss his champion card Mad King Aerys. John is a genius.
Honorable moment was the time that Kyle and Jon switched places. That was weird, and pretty fun.
GOLD COINS YUM YUM
Congratulations on the 100th episode! My favourite thing so far has been the new format for reviewing chapter packs, which has got me thinking differently about cards in a way that has sparked my creativity for deckbuilding. Thanks for all the work that's gone into this so far! Silver would be my preference should I win
My favorite moment was that time when you kept Pipes from doing his job and we had to go a week without a deckbuilder. Good times....
Bronze.
The Bronze Coins are cool - Gold is such a 1.0 thing...
Also, I tried to use "favourite" out of respect for the Great White North, but my iPhone autocorrected me. Apple never lets us have nice things!
