Beyond the Wall Istaril Darknoj Ktom CCG to LCG transition Podcast AGOT

In this week's episode, we briefly go over some tournament and community news. Then, as we've recently focused on the upcoming rotation announcement, we manage to bring in the big guns: Ktom. He takes on the role of a historian to tell us about the transition from the CCG to the LCG, and why it's probably a terrible comparison for the upcoming rotation. Finally, ktom volunteers to show up for a future episode (details within), and we close off with announcing a major tournament this week.

I do want to apologize for some sound issues; due to scheduling issues, I was solely responsible for a crying baby who then required my constant pacing (and some mic movement) during the interivew. Most of the crying has been cut, but I think there's still some mic-rearangement I didn't get to cut to drive you all batty during the interview segment.

Great episode as always. That CEO letter was an interesting read too. It's amazing how quickly their plans changed ("there will be no 1v1 World Championship").

Great episode. I really enjoyed the historical discussion and stump ktom sounds like a whole lot of fun.  Can't wait to listen to that in the future.

When i first started playing and having rules issues i looked for answers in the FFG forums. It was easy to understand that Ktom was the one ending discussions with sounded reason and a ton of patience. It was great to put a voice to those words.

Great episode!

This is the first episode I've listened to, due to a little extra AGoT free time and seeing Ktom in the description.

I have to say that it was an excellent episode and you guys did a very nice job of interviewing Ktom and guiding the discussion without getting in the way of a great guest.

I'll be sure to tune in again.

Extremely glad to hear we've picked up another listener! If a high-profile guest doing this kind of interview is what drew you in, I'd recommend checking out our interview with Nate French way back in episode 6.

White Borders FTW!

As an old CCG player who quit right before the Core Set came out and came back around the Maester cycle, it's great to hear the history during the CCG days and also what happened during the early days of the LCG.

Also, it's great to put a voice to Ktom.

Excellent episode guys!

P.S. What's with the white borders?! :)

Great episode guys. I love hearing about the history before I started the game. Keep up the great work!

Great cast, very glad that you had Ktom as guest and learning about the history. Explains a lot why so many cards in the first cycle are useless and don't integrate well with the other cycles

Where's this week's podcast??
