Click here for the podcast.Season 3! We announce a few changes that have come along with the new Season, with more coming shortly. We then catch up on the news since our prelude - which runs a little long (it's been weeks!). For our "The Road to Winterfell" CP review, joined by Adem K. and Alex K., we pilot a new format that we hope will stand out and be a bit more entertaining. Darknoj gives us a tip of the week while I berate him for being a hypocrite, and then we bring you a review of the Broken Egg Games tokens & coins. Finally, we sign off with our usual closing comments.

On the most important discussion point of the episode, I agree with Jon. A couple is always two.
Agreed.
I like the new review system. I also like that Jon has started saying Shagga.
Nice to have y'all back full-time. Excellent reviews!
It was maester players or "rules lawyer"
Yup, although in practice it was more like... looking at cards from a design/rules standpoint (from outside their use in the game itself). A more academic interest in the cards rather than practical one?
As we go over in the conclusions though, I see lots of room to vary this format while keeping to the same fundamental idea; bring on a curmudgeon to complain about his 3 least favourite cards in the pack, a faction loyalist to talk about the 3 cards that most affect his faction from this pack, etc. The goal would be to offer 4 different perspectives on the pack, and constrain people to talking about cards they're actually excited to talk about.
I think Seth might love bad cards, hoping his opponents will play them.
I also loved the new review format. I'm not sure how much I would like if you brought on a faction loyalist as one of the 4. The only way I think that would work is if you brought 8 different faction loyalists and constrained them to mention cards not of their faction.
best Snappy Sign Off EVA !!!!
For example, how good would the Sopranos ending have been if the directors filmed their explanation and played that during the end credits.
I wholeheartedly volunteer to be your Lannister faction loyalist in the future.
...not that you're in any shortage for that house.
I love my broken egg tokens and I prefer the silver power over the gold. Really nice stuff. A word of warning to my Canadian brethren. A set of power tokens and gold coins costs about $67 once shipping and exchange are dealt with. Good ol' Canadian peso.
I wouldn't say obsessed
.
Someone talking about trap cards might be more interesting to hear.
Or about Tyene cards (seemingly innocent, will turn out to be very dangerous).
Somehow the old "cycle in review format" that cardgamedb used to do here (well, did for Wardens, it's been a while since we last completed a cycle) completely slipped my mind; the Tyene, the best art, etc - I should definitely draw from that!
Great episode guys. Slowly bringing me back into the game :-)
