Happy Independence Day, or if you are one of our international friends, happy Wednesday! While many people will be out camping, at barbecues, and engaging in general drunken debauchery, here at Card Game DB we are celebrating the holiday in the most American way possibleâ€¦by talking about Heavy Taxes (APS). At the Bay Area, California monthly tournament last weekend, I saw this card pop up for the first time, and I have been thinking about the ways to exploit it since.

Removing threats from the board is king. Stopping challenges mid-phase causes opponent fits. The pure card economy afforded to the house of dragons is embarrassing. The reason this deck doesnâ€™t keep dominating top eights is finding the right amount of resources needed to keep it running smoothly.

Today we're having our second issue of Beware the Sphinx and taking a look back at a card that came out over a year ago in the Queen of Dragons deluxe expansion.
