I created this deck today, but I haven't tested it yet. It is an experiment to see if Shadowsun can also use the elite units to her advantage in the current meta:

Total Cards: (50)

Warlord:

Army Unit: (33)

Attachment: (7)

Event: (6)

Support: (4)

Units I use in Shadowsun > Eldar w/ Enclave.  Key here is Enclave:

Survivalist 2x

Wraithblade 2x

Silvered Blade Avengers 2x

Destructor 3x

Testing new Exarch at 1x

I imagine Survivalist and Avengers won't be much popular with people.  I find survivalists a great use of Enclave on turns when I need the economy boost in a deck where my 0/1 drops are ECT, Recon Drone and Marksman.  Avengers exhaust without targeting which is a good ability to have against elites.

Being able to pack Doom is also a nice benefit

Enclave has changed a lot of things, not least among them that Survivalist is once again quite playable. Myself, I go all out with three Survivalists, 6 neutral 1-for-1s and 2x superiority. It's hard to command overkill in Shadowsun.

So true.  Most failure SS decks I make don't draw enough cards.  But I'm terrible at building Tau

Major weakness - not enough eldar drons, it needs something like Wraithguard, tau  attachments useless for eldar vehicles, there is no good hardpoint attachment except DDS
Missile Pod (Unforgiven) very slow and dont give any profit in many cases

Since the game is dead and I had fun playing with and against Shadowsun deck that I've built with a buddy of mine last week, I felt like rambling about it just this one time.

First of all, what a fun warlord to play! I felt like I had tons of options throughout the game and always had enough resources, thanks to cheaper units and good command.

Tau has so many advantages with command presence. Recon drone is fantastic and doesn't cost squat and Trailblazers are great. But in my opinion, the MVP of Tau is Earth Caste Technician, not only in the Tau deck, but perhaps also in any decks that are heavier on drones or attachments (for example, Necron drone and elite deck would be good to include 3x Earth Caste Technicians).

I think thinning out your deck to get to the important cards is super-good and ECT does just that. Not only he is a 1 for 1 and can force opponent to try to counter you (spend resources, commit warlord there, etc), but in Shadowsun for example he is finding out all of the attachments or drones that you require to do your battle. Need more command? Fish out Recon or Exploratory drone, or even Gun Drone. Need an attachment? Fish out Ion Rifle, Gun Drone, or perhaps Heavy Marker Drone.

I also like the fact that ECT lets you know what cards you mill to put on the bottom of your deck. Knowing that helps you plan better. Another thing I like to add is the Ambush Platform in this deck and Heavy Marker Drone. It's fun to surprise your opponent and throw a reduced-cost attachment from Ambush Platform and another free one with Shadowsun's ability.

The other combo I think is hilarious is Heavy Marker Drone with Even the Odds. You put a Heavy Marker Drone on something, then when you have a battle and the drone is at a different planet, you just move the attachment from a different planet to the planet that you're in. With the Ambush Platform, Shadowsun's ability, and perhaps other attachments, you can totally mess with your opponent's plans.

I haven't tried Drone Defense System yet, but I feel like to make it more usable, I would throw in Experimental Devilfish x3 in this deck, just to make sure I could exhaust it.
