I am excited to announce that my plaintive pleas for guest writers have fallen on not-so-deaf ears, and this week will be the first guest installment in this series. Wolfbrother on the forums, this young (or not young? not sure) man has stepped up to the plate to tackle the series namesake: Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell. Wolfbrother will be continuing the format begun last edition, in which each version of a unique character is examined to see how well it fits the characteristics laid out in Martin's saga.

Here we go again, dear readers. Let’s take another turn on the Shagga Tilt-A-Whirl. This time around, we’ll be investigating a new slant on an old Shagga concept. Shagga players like big things, and while we’ve already taken a look at big characters, there are certainly other aspects of the game that we can turn to our favor by cranking out the biggest numbers we can. In particular, I’m thinking of claim. There’s nothing quite like that rush of pumping out high claim challenges. Now that we have a focus, let’s look at a way to abuse those claim numbers!

For this edition we’ll review the fallout from the 4.0 FAQ and see where we’re Martell stands and how they’ll cope with the significant changes to the restricted list. I had planned to talk about Naval Enhancement but given the big changes in the new FAQ seems like it’s better to do a quick rundown of what’s going on.
