Welcome back loyal readers! This week we're going to cover some basic deckbuilding concepts for new players. What do you need to consider when building a deck? What are the right ratios for cards? How do you decide on a deck strategy?
Building a deck is part art and part science. The science portion has to do with probability and card type. The art is knowing which cards to put in there and the synergies needed to pull off certain effects. We're going to cover a little bit of both in today's column.

Welcome back to Rise of the Kraken, where in this edition I (JCWamma) begin a short series covering the Greyjoy Maester deck archetype. In this first part I want to outline exactly why this is such a potent combination and how the marriage of Greyjoy and Maester produces synergies that make you wonder why in the books the Iron Islanders don't consider using more Maesters, given how effective it clearly is!

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the new weekly article Much and More with your host ShadowcatX2000. This series is going to be significantly different from the majority of the articles put out by the Small Council in that I plan to cover all 6 houses, both melee and joust formats, both top tier and lower tier agendas, and pretty much other random things as they come to me. Likewise some articles may feature deck lists and some may not. Basically it'll cover a large variety of topics. But at least they'll all be on Game of Thrones.

Today, we're going to talk a bit about resource management. In this House, we can't even begin that without discussing the House keyword: Ambush. This is one of the most feared keywords in the game because your opponent has to just assume when they see the Targaryen house card, that at some point, you're going to bring a card from hand to defend or attack (or to trigger some other effect). As powerful as Ambush is, it requires you to think about resources much differently than you would if you were playing any other house.

Here we are again, ladies and gents, with another exciting installment of All Things Shagga! This week we continue our look at the top 5 Shagga cards of each chapter pack cycle with a look at the Brotherhood Without Banners cycle. This is one of my favorite sets in the game right now, holding a very close second to the King’s Landing cycle. In fact, this is probably due to the Brotherhood cycle being one of the most Shagga friendly sets that we’ve seen. Let’s take a look!
