Welcome to finally another The Great Cthulhu article. Sorry that it has been so long with summer and so much going on it is hard to find time to sit down and actually put an article together. However, with regional season going on, someone posted in the forums some helpful tips for new players that I felt was worthy of putting on the front page. User name Tusk was going to be taking his son and niece along with to a regional and so he thought of a list to help them prepare for the event. Here is his list, along with a few of my own comments on each suggestion.

So this past weekend I was able to participate in my first Call of Cthulhu tournament, at the Fantasy Flight games center store championship. I wasn't expecting to win since have only been playing a few months, but I was just looking forward to playing against people in person, and not just online. We ended up having 10 people participate, which although isn't amazing, was enough to have four rounds and a cut to the top four, so would at the very least get four games and was excited and ready to go.

Welcome to my second article of the amazing game, Call of Cthulhu. Sorry about the longer then normal gap from last article, with finals and then Christmas week life was little busy, but back to the stuff that matters. This series is aimed towards players that are new to the game or not even currently playing but have a small itch to try it. Last article I went over a few things that make the game great, this time I am going to go more in depth on one of those aspects and that is the combat in Call of Cthulhu.

Welcome to the third The Great Cthulhu article, a series aimed towards new and veteran players alike as well as those that want to learn more about the game and possibly join later. Welcome to the ninth edition of Pacta Arcana, in which we will explore the depths of deckbuilding with multiple factions in the Call of Cthulhu LCG. In each article of this series we will be looking at combining two factions (sometimes more) together to form a cohesive deck around a particular theme, combo, or strategy. This week we are treated to an article by guest writer, Wildefox.
Previously, on Pacta Arcana, we witnessed the terrifying machinations of Cthulhu and Hastur let loose upon a midnight world wrought with conspiracies and terror. This week, we take a look at the devious machinations of the mortal sorcerers in Silver Twilight, who reach out beyond the stars to draw on the limitless arcane power of Yog-Sothoth. Fueled by the powerful spells of the Lord of Time and Space (and the occasional sacrifice of one of their own members) the elite members of the Silver Twilight seek to gain power beyond the ken of their less ambitious rivals. Soon, all knees will bend before...

In each article this series we will be looking at combining two factions (sometimes more) together to form a cohesive deck around a particular theme, combo, or strategy.
Previously, on Pacta Arcana, we took a disturbing trek deep into the woods with the undercover agents of both the Agency and Shub-Niggurath weaving intrigue upon intrigue, and conspiracy upon conspiracy.
