Welcome to finally another The Great Cthulhu article. Sorry that it has been so long with summer and so much going on it is hard to find time to sit down and actually put an article together. However, with regional season going on, someone posted in the forums some helpful tips for new players that I felt was worthy of putting on the front page. User name Tusk was going to be taking his son and niece along with to a regional and so he thought of a list to help them prepare for the event. Here is his list, along with a few of my own comments on each suggestion.

So this past weekend I was able to participate in my first Call of Cthulhu tournament, at the Fantasy Flight games center store championship. I wasn't expecting to win since have only been playing a few months, but I was just looking forward to playing against people in person, and not just online. We ended up having 10 people participate, which although isn't amazing, was enough to have four rounds and a cut to the top four, so would at the very least get four games and was excited and ready to go.

Welcome to the third The Great Cthulhu article, a series aimed towards new and veteran players alike as well as those that want to learn more about the game and possibly join later. Although it may not be possible for this mix to take on the meta decks, I’m sure you can have a lot of fun with them, and hopefully we may see a bit more of them around in the future.
