Aug 12 2014 10:00 PM | mnBroncos in Call of Cthulhu

Welcome to finally another The Great Cthulhu article. Sorry that it has been so long with summer and so much going on it is hard to find time to sit down and actually put an article together. However, with regional season going on, someone posted in the forums some helpful tips for new players that I felt was worthy of putting on the front page. User name Tusk was going to be taking his son and niece along with to a regional and so he thought of a list to help them prepare for the event. Here is his list, along with a few of my own comments on each suggestion.

The Great Cthulhu - Tournament Experience

Mar 26 2014 05:05 PM | mnBroncos in Call of Cthulhu

So this past weekend I was able to participate in my first Call of Cthulhu tournament, at the Fantasy Flight games center store championship. I wasn't expecting to win since have only been playing a few months, but I was just looking forward to playing against people in person, and not just online. We ended up having 10 people participate, which although isn't amazing, was enough to have four rounds and a cut to the top four, so would at the very least get four games and was excited and ready to go.

This series is aimed towards players that are new to the game or not even currently playing but have a small itch to try it. Last article I went over a few things that make the game great, this time I am going to go more in depth on one of those aspects and that is the combat in Call of Cthulhu.

In this article we’re taking a look at a Faction combination rarely seen around the gaming tables, and exploring exactly what the Silver Twilight and Hastur can offer in terms of synergy and function. Although it may not be possible for this mix to take on the meta decks, I’m sure you can have a lot of fun with them, and hopefully we may see a bit more of them around in the future.
