So a new FAQ came out. It is available here. It changes a lot. With this the meta will be vastly different next month than it was last month, and while we can make educated guesses as to how things are going to shake out the truth is the only thing that's really going to tell us is play testing.

This week, All Things Shagga welcomes you back to another week of combo focused deckbuilding. Along with combos, Shaggas also love big, splashy cards and effects and by golly, it doesn’t get much bigger in AGOT than our topic this week. Of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the inspiration for this deck. During the GenCon 2012 joust tournament I ran up against our very own co-host of Summer is Coming, Darknoj. During the tournament he played an extremely fun looking Targaryen build that centered around using Balerion over and over.

This week, we're going to continue our series about common mistakes. Last time we took a look at the Plot, Draw, and Marshaling phases. Today, we're going to tackle Challenges, Dominance, Standing, and Taxation. The point of this series is to look at what are the most common errors new players make and maybe deal with some of the small timing issues that come up. We'll leave the bigger discussion of timing and rules lawyering to our friends at the Quill and Tankard.
