Quill & Tankard Regulars - Vol II, Issue 10

May 01 2016 04:05 AM | WWDrakey in Game of Thrones

...Ha! As IF. My dornish spearwomen were ambushing you on the plain. I was just letting you wander about getting addled by the heat first!

Highgarden Knights do NOT get addled! Tipsy, perhaps. Or somewhat pickled...

This time on the Quill & Tankard Regulars we do a thorough rundown of the oft' surprising AGoT rules formal language terminology, as well as preview a new card from True Steel, which should have interesting implications for those in fear of the coming snows...

Apr 25 2016 01:10 PM | mplain in Game of Thrones

Seeing that a lot of rules questions get asked when a new pack is released, I decided to compile the answers for most of them in one place, for easy reference.

Beyond the Wall, Season 3 Episode 13

Apr 25 2016 01:45 AM | istaril in Game of Thrones

This week, I think we're setting a new record for timezones spanned. We start off with a roundup of the news where Darknoj proves Istaril wasn't paying close enough attention (drat!), and then have Kenny (Kennish) and Tagore (tomdidiot) join us to review CP5: Calm Over Westeros. We come dangerously close to all picking the same 3 cards! In a breif Town Crier, they each tell us about their local stops in the Road to Bangkok and Road to Stahleck, respectively. The co-hosts then break form (again) to turn the Tip of the Week into something that really isn't - more of a cry for help, really - and then wrap up with their usual closing comments, including what tournaments you're going to see them at this year.

Banter Behind the Throne - Life Begins at Episo...

Apr 23 2016 10:00 AM | istaril in Game of Thrones

Dave is away for a few days so me and Peel conducted a number of dark rituals and summoned Jack from the abyss to help us out. Unfortunately, Jack being in our realm caused some kind of audio dissonance and part of the episode got lost in editing. This has absolutely nothing to do with us giving 'Winterfell Crypts' a really low rating.

We talk about Calm Over Westeros, the news about intentional draws and then discuss some things you might want to consider if your meta is over run with Lannister players. We then totally mess up a sign off.

Our staff has put together a first blush analysis of the newly released “Calm Over Westeros” chapter pack. We have 5 reviewers this time around, so the maximum overall score is 25 points.
